Destroy All Design and Septerhed joint reception is Thursday, November 15 at LAB ART and runs through December 8, 2012.

Abandon All Hope…

Actually don’t and instead head on over to LAB ART for the latest collaborations and individual works from the artists Destroy All Design and Septerhed

If you’ve been to LAB ART, you are familiar with Destroy All Design, an artist but also a movement for all to be involved. Moving from graffiti, stencils and stickers “way back when”, L.A.’s Destroy All Design began exploring more typography, graphic imagery and now brushes instead of spray cans. The Atari joy stick, yeah, that’s him and the calligraphy work, it’s Armenian. Nice interview clip from Miami Art Basel 2011 here.

Septerhed has been on the streets for over three years and at LAB ART from the beginning. Easily recognizable, Melrose is awash with his super-graphic black and white works. His art can be collage, paint, words, unique original creation, a combination and always commentary. Check out some of his most recent work @SEPTERHED.

From Destroy All Design’s site:

“Abandon All Hope” is an exploration of the unique human condition as seen through the eyes of Destroy All Design and Septerhed. Commentary on the financial, spiritual and emotional ride of existence are a few of the topics touched upon in this installation.

Septerhed and Destroy All Design are known as the “Death Metal” of street art. In the past 2 years, the conversation has been mostly gracing the streets of Los Angeles, but now amongst the walls of the white cube, laced with an undertone of wit and gritty humor, the audience gets a rare polished look at a culmination of the propaganda and signage common to both artists.

What else could we add to that? Find more info at LAB ART’s blog and watch the guys in action below. (Gallery info below the video.)
